Rate: £600 to £650/day (inside IR35)
Location: Remote (occasional travel to Milton Keynes)
Duration: 6 months
My client, a leading, a leading data specialist, are look to recruit a skilled and motivated Test Lead to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of testers, developing and executing test cases and scripts in alignment with project requirements, identifying and tracking defects, and collaborating effectively with Scrum teams and third-party stakeholders to ensure project success within established timelines.
Main Responsibilities:
Accountability/Key Responsibilities:- Manage and Lead Team:
- Lead and mentor a small team of testers, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
- Agile Participation:
- Attend and actively contribute to agile ceremonies as an integral part of the Scrum team.
- Collaboration with Business Analysts:
- Work closely with Business Analysts to understand tasks, provide feedback, and offer estimated time for completion.
- Test Script Development:
- Develop comprehensive test scripts to ensure thorough testing of all functionalities.
- Test Execution:
- Execute test cases meticulously to identify defects and ensure the software meets the highest quality standards.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, track, and report defects, working diligently to ensure they are resolved promptly.
- Stakeholder Liaison:
- Liaise with business stakeholders to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure their requirements are met.
Skills and Experience:- 5+ years’ experience as a hands-on Test Lead
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle
- Proficient in designing and executing test cases and scripts
- Experience in defect logging and management
- Ability to work at a senior level, including leading a small team of testers
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
- Must-Have:
- Solid experience in writing SQL statements
- Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar tool
- Experience with Postman
- Experience in End-to-End (E2E) testing and System Integration Testing (SIT)
- Preferred:
- Utilities/energy market experience
