Role: SQL DBA
Type: Contract
Rate: £500/day (inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote
My client, a leading financial services company are looking to recruit an experienced SQL DBA to provide technical expertise for the SQL DBA Infrastructure Team and support the migration of on premise SQL Servers to Azure. The role is predominantly remote based with travel to their head office in Northampton as and when required.
Key skills/experience;
• Excellent knowledge of Azure SQL implementation and troubleshooting
• Good knowledge of CosmosDB implementation and troubleshooting
• Good knowledge SQL Always On Availability Groups
• Good knowledge of SQL Server installation and configuration
• Good knowledge of SQL Server clustering
• Good knowledge of database backup and restore strategy
• Good SQL Server database performance tuning capability
• Excellent root cause analysis & problem solving skills
• Good T-SQL scripting
• Good knowledge of IBM DB2 Database
• Excellent at building relationships across a wide variety of groups
• Tactical and commercial awareness
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
