Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Front End Developer (Team Leader) who will work closely with, and lead, the front end team. You will be responsible for improvements to the companies core platform infrastructure. You will drive adoption of best-in-class tools, open-source frameworks, etc. and will work with Product Managers to develop frameworks that ensure the customer/user journeys are simple, predictable, and consistent.
What you’ll be doing:- Leading the Digital Product Engineering team with full accountability of delivery, starting from technical ideation / design to implementation and rollouts.
- Leading a team of highly-skilled JavaScript & User Interface Developers
- Hands-on development using JavaScript (ES6)
- Collaborating with other stakeholders – Product Managers, API & Backend Development team, UI designers.
Key skills for the Lead Front End Developer include:- Strong programming experience with JavaScript ES6 - Essential
- React experience, minimum of 5 years
- Worked with Typescript
- Experience of coaching/leading/mentoring other developers.
- Experience in TDD.
- Understanding of design patterns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving with the mental acuity to solve end-to-end problems.
- Comfortable working autonomously and has previously demonstrated a strong level of comfort in driving projects forward but is equally a team player.
This is a remote based role, with some travel to be expected if attending conferences or having to meet with your team. My client has built their own in-house solution, so you will be tasked with coming up with ideas to enhance their offerings to the industry and look into the latest technology trends to see if they can add value.
