Role Description
A great opportunity for a Lead Developer with architecture experience to join a leading communications platform provider, as part of their continued growth. You will be responsible for the companies platform architecture, ensuring it is fit for purpose and always looking for ways to improve. You will work closely with senior management across product and development teams in order to deliver on the technical vision of the business, ensuring that technical solutions meet customer and market requirements. You will come from a hands-on development background in Microsoft.Net technologies, as well as being able to demonstrate some experience in an architecture function or in having sole responsibility for software architecture and will be passionate about technology and product design.
My client's business is continuously maturing their agile working practices and you will have the opportunity to work with cloud, microservices and containerisation.
Skills & Experience- Previous experience in software development and solution architecture
- Technology background in .Net (C#/ASP.Net), API's and SQL
- Passion for technology and problem solving through technical solutions
- Highly capable of clearly conveying complex technical solutions to the wider development team and able to create technical requirements and technical feature stories
- Familiar with working within an agile scrum methodology and worked as a technical product owner
- In-depth understanding of the following concepts
- Event Sourcing / Command Query Responsibility Segregation
- Microservices Architecture
- Event Driver Architecture
- Security by design
- API Contract design
- API Gateway and Management
- Cloud Architecture
- Containerization
- ELK
This is a permanent position where the client is looking for someone who is still close to the hands-on development side. You will be a leader, someone who will take responsibility for your work and the continuous improvement of the platform. The role is remote based, but you do have the option to go into the offices if you wish too, and are local enough to commute.
