- We are now looking for a back end PHP Developer with eCommerce experience to join our award winning client, a national digital and branding agency based in the East Midlands.
Our client is one of the leading brand agencies, boasting an enviable portfolio of clients and a whole host of industry awards.
You will be an experienced PHP Back-end developer joining our clients IT team. You will be responsible for the server-side web application logic as well as for the integration of the front-end part.
You will have outstanding programming skills and a great passion for developing beautiful and innovative applications.
Experience required:
• At least 2 years’ experience working with PHP
• In-depth understanding of web development
• Experience with JSON, XML, REST & SOAP APIs
• Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby and Python
• Experience with nginx and apache 2
• Familiarity with CMS frameworks
• Experience with package managers such as NPM and Composer • Understanding of Jira
Responsibilities:
• Be involved and participate in the overall application life cycle
• Main focus on coding and debugging • Collaborate with Front-end developers
• Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future
• Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean code • Learn about new technologies
• Conduct UI tests and optimise performance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system administrators
