Salary:          £42,500 - £50,000 package pa + Private Medical Healthcare and Pension

Position:

They are recruiting for an IT Security Analyst to monitor and support IT security across the organisation to help develop a secure and trusted infrastructure environment. Following recent implementation of a Managed Security Operations Centre (investment circa.£1m over 3 years) this role will be responsible for IT security incident management, vulnerability management, cyber security investigations and audits as well as due diligence of 3rd party solutions and internal project work, as the quantity and complexity of malicious activity within the healthcare sector continues to rise.

Working to ensure IT Security threats and incidents are being actively managed as well as acting as a point of escalation for Cyber Security incidents the IT Security Analyst will be key in raising the awareness and the importance of IT security across the departmental teams and wider business.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Security Analyst include:
  • Triage, manage, monitor, respond and improve upon the quality of IT security alerts created from the managed security operations centre (SOC) and to review and prioritise the remediation of security weaknesses identified during regular vulnerability scanning and testing
  • Utilise available security management consoles to identify and recommend security enhancements and to produce and maintain ongoing trend analysis reports and dashboards for IT senior management/BMI Governance Committees.
  • Develop and maintain robust technical security controls for proposed and existing IT systems via project work or BAU activities, with focus on cyber resilience activities and technical infrastructure changes and enhancements.
  • To assist with the vetting and approval of proposed IT solutions/systems and liaising with IT Tech. Leads/Teams to explain and to prioritise identified security enhancements required to existing infrastructure and systems.
  • To assist with the creation and maintenance of security documentation/procedures, day to day management of security systems, compliance efforts and providing evidence for audit requests/incident responses and be a point of contact for BMI staff with issues in relation to IT security.
  • To be involved in the planning and implementation of new security solutions, as required for meeting defined strategic deliverables, including working with solution vendors, carrying out security related due diligence and defining system configurations to ensure that any new security altering solutions meet Circle standards.
Experience required for the IT Security Analyst:
  • 5 years experience working in an IT/Cyber Security focused role for a large organisation, covering multiple sites.
  • Experience in managing IT security 3rd Parties to provide IT Security expertise, monitoring and response.
  • Experience in threat and vulnerability management
  • Governance, risk and compliance knowledge (GRC)
  • IT security qualifications/accreditations (Desirable)
This role is about protecting Circle Health Groups data, patients and business. You will be an IT Security (& Governance) advocate, passionate about the need to protect data properly yet able to balance this successfully against the need to get Business value from data. You will be comfortable with leading and working under your own initiative and coordinating and influencing across a wider (virtual) team to deliver results and continuous improvement.
