Location:  Slough

Summary:

A great opportunity to join a global technology provider who are expanding their IT support team in Slough.  The candidate should be an experienced IT support technician, who is skilled in delivering support across internal business users and also the IT services they deliver to customers. Due to the company’s growth plans the role will require travel around the companies UK offices and other locations so the candidate will need to be flexible when it comes to travelling, working from other locations and working outside of normal office hours on occasions.

The IT Support Technician will provide excellent support to the business users for all aspects corporate IT. The IT Support Technician must combine strong technical skills with excellent customer service, demonstrating a drive to complete tasks to the highest standard and always looking to find the root cause of issues.
You will play a part in supporting new IT systems implemented by the business and also provide IT resource for any office moves, refurbishments or other activities that require IT assistance. 

Key skills/experience required for the role are:
  • Over 5 years experience in IT Support - ideally working for an MSP
  • Technical skills -
    • Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
    • Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Office 365
    • Experience supporting a Cisco based network infrastructure
    • VMware and/or HyperV 
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and explain to customers/users the problem and communicate timescales of fixing the issue
  • IT certifications - MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, CCNA etc - Highly desirable
  • Worked to ITIL framework or in an ITIL environment
The IT Support professional should be an ambitious, self-motivated, individual who enjoys troubleshooting issues, dealing with people and providing an excellent service. You will have experience using ticketing systems with requests for help.
