Senior Infrastructure Consultant

Profile

HUGE opportunity for an Infrastructure specialist to join a fast-growing organisation as their infrastructure guru! The infrastructure specialist will be responsible for the internal IT infrastructure, along with playing a major role in the company's Azure services, as they look to provide infrastructure expertise as part of their offerings to their clients. The Senior Infrastructure Consultant will become an integral part of the business, playing a key role in the delivery of the businesses projects.

For this to work, you need to have a self-starting proactive approach, and you will have expert knowledge of Azure, Office 365 and supporting a team of fully remote workers.

 

Key responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Managing the Azure infrastructure, including development and testing environments
  • Delivering infrastructure support and guidance to project delivery teams
  • Providing advice on Azure architecture and the use of Azure services across the company
  • Documenting and maintaining documentation on our internal systems and architecture
  • Managing hardware inventory and asset register
  • Resolution of internal support tickets for end-user computing and Azure services
  • Pro-actively monitoring internal infrastructure for security and compliance issues
  • Managing Azure Active Directory
  • Supporting security configuration and maintaining compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus
Soft skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • An in-depth understanding of Microsoft technologies
  • An interest in or existing experience in managing Information Security
  • An ability to work independently with confidence
  • A positive attitude towards working with a global team
Technical skills:

  • Microsoft Azure
  • Azure AD (users, groups, apps etc.)

  • Infrastructure as code
  • Microsoft 365
  • User and licence management
  • Security and compliance
  • Azure DevOps
 

This a remote role, with all employees working remotely in the business. Your role will start off by reviewing the current company IT infrastructure and leading changes that are required. The other part to the role will be to aid the business in integrating their solutions into the client's infrastructure, providing a consultative expertise. 

The role will be fast-paced, but highly rewarding, with a great opportunity to be part of the company's planned growth. You will enjoys being hands-on, and dealing with clients, delivering projects and having a say in the continued improvement of the company's internal infrastructure and client offerings.
