Salary:         £55,000pa + 10% Pension, 10% Bonus

Job description

Great opportunity to join a global software/hardware product provider who help improve lives with their innovative products. This role is ideal for a driven project manager who enjoys delivering products to customers, taking ownership of multiple software development projects, working in an Agile environment.

You will work closely with the development and product teams, overseeing the development of new products, as well as the enhancement of existing ones.


Some of the responsibilities for the Project Manager include:

• Working with technical leads, product managers and other team members to plan and define the project, focusing on regular and timely delivery of projects to the satisfaction of the customer, and business

• Manage and delivery projects to full closure, tracking timescales, budgets, and reporting progress to the Programme Manager and contributing to department progress reports

• Manage multi-functional project risks and issues and provide suggestions on to how to correct deviations from plans

• Organise and lead project status meetings e.g., stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives

• Support Product Managers to perform delivery planning for assigned projects

• Support cross-department links to ensure all aspects of the business are engaged in successful delivery of projects

• Deploy up to date project management tools and techniques

• Champion and lead ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices

• Drive backlog refinement and Jira project maintenance. When required, writing success criteria/tickets for approval from Product Manager and development team

 

Experience

• Previous background in the delivery of software projects

• Knowledge of agile project management principles and practices

• Sufficient level of experience of working with software to be able to objectively evaluate project risks and issues

• Have a structured and logical approach to problem solving with the ability to influence others

• Demonstrate successful team working skills with a proven track record in matrix management or cross functional

• Experience of software development life cycles models including management of concurrent streams

• ISO standards: ISO62304 and ISO14971 (Desirable)

• Jira and Confluence software from Atlassian alternative development productivity tools

• Hold a recognised project management qualification such as Prince 2 practitioner or Scrum Master ( Desirable)

• Knowledge of both software and hardware processes

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company that provides software and hardware products for a number of industries, including life sciences. The role is predominatly remote based but there is a minimum expectation to be in the office 1 day every 2 weeks.
