Location:    Hybrid/Abingdon (1-2 days a week)

Salary:         £55,000 - £60,000pa + 10% bonus, 28 days holiday + stats

JOB DESCRIPTION

Great opportunity for a forward thinking Scrum Master to play an integral part in the product development team, focusing on a brand new workflow management tool. The Scrum Master will be responsible for the innovation, improvement and delivery of the workflow management programme, leading 2 weekly sprints across numerous delivery teams and 3rd parties.
 

Key responsibilities for the Scrum Master include:
  • Leading Scrum workshops across a number of activities/programs
  • Mentor delivery teams through the software development lifecycle using Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Work with cross-functional teams in order to deliver on activities in 2 weekly sprints
  • Work with and support the product owners to continuously improve product backlog
  • Lead and negotiate scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications for projects and initiatives.  
  • Ability to facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and other scrum ceremonies
  • Facilitate discussions and conflict resolution  across internal and external teams
  • Develop metrics and reports to help the team understand its health and progress and to set goals   
  • Influence change at all levels to increase team and organization performance at a sustainable pace
 

Key experience required for the Scrum Master:
  • Accredited Scrum Master with experience in Software Industry
  • Experience working with workflow management and/or RPA tools in a delivery capacity
  • Knowledge about Agile techniques including: User Stories, Continuous Integration, TDD, Continuous Delivery, Pairing, Automated Testing
  • Stakeholder management skills across internal and external teams
  • Experience with other Lean/Agile framework and methods, i.e.: Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in at least one agile project management tool: Rally, Jira, Version One, etc.

They're currently working through a pilot of their new workflow management tool, and are looking for an enthusiastic person who can come on-board, complete the pilot and begin work on implementing the tool across the business. You will be hard-working, an excellent communicator, who can bring new ideas to the team and other areas of the business.
