Role:         Lead Data Warehouse Developer

Location:  Remote based with 1 daya a week in Head Office (Central London)

Salary:      £55,000 - £60,000pa

The Lead Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data warehouse technology for the business. You will be in charge of the companies journey to a full data warehouse, so will have experience of building a data warehouse previously, leading teams and investigating new technology. 

The Lead Data Warehouse Developer will work closely with the rest of the BI team to ensure that the data being brought in and managed is accurate, clean, easily available, and complete.

Key responsibilities for the Lead Data Warehouse Developer include:

  • Providing guidance and support in development activities for team of 3-6 staff and contract developers building and supporting custom BI reports.
  • Working with BI Developers to develop, support and enhance ETL and data warehouses to support the Business needs.
  • Supporting the wider analytics community through the development of the data warehouse to enable a self-service environment for exploring CHG data.
  • Researching and keeping abreast of new BI/data Warehouse technologies and best practice
Key skills/experience required for the Lead Data Warehouse Developer:

  • Previous experience building a data warehouse
  • A strong understanding of data warehouse technologies and methodologies
  • Proven experience working with ETL concepts of data integration, consolidation, enrichment, and aggregation
  • Experience working with SQL server database administration, integration services, analysis services, and MDX query language.
  • Any experience in data vault or similar methodologies
This role is ideal for a senior data warehouse professional, who is a self-starter and can take the lead on projects. You will take initiative on project activities, make decisions and be the go to mentor for the BI team.
