Role Summary:
A fantastic contract opportunity for a Test Manager to join my client, covering the current Test Manager whilst they are on maternity leave. The role will see you involved in working on solutions that help improve peoples lives, and also play a significant role in the movie and sporting industry. The Test Manager will lead a small test team, which you will be tasked with growing (currently recruiting for 3 testers), and will be responsible for the testing strategy framework, and devising test plans for the solutions that the business delivers to its clients. The role will involve working with technical teams (Product Managers, Program Manager, Development Managers and Support Managers) in order to deliver test activities in line with the deadlines for the overall product delivery lifecycle.
The role will sometimes require performing hands on testing, so the Test Manager will still have technical capabilities, as well as the chance to be the subject for the testing of the hardware products.
Experience Required for the Test Manager:- 5 years test management experience, leading and recruiting test teams
- A background in hardware and software testing
- Manage test activities, including assigning work, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to senior leadership
- Prepare QA effort estimation and allocation of resources for release testing
- Possess strong knowledge of Agile testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Proficient in test and defect management tools,
This is an office based role, predominantly, due to the nature of the products the team are testing. There will be some remote working, but candidates must be prepared to be in the office most of the time.
