The Role:
A great opportunity for an infrastructure specialist to join a global software provider as their Cloud Infrastructure Manager. The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for the support and continuous development of the infrastructure for the companies flagship product's cloud-based ecosystem.
Working within the Infrastructure Team, the role is covers the management of the infrastructure, along with looking into areas to improve in order to best support the business in delivering their solutions to clients, working with the internal support and development teams to ensure systems are fully available.
Key Responsibilities for the Cloud Infrastructure Manager include:- Managing the cloud environments, ensuring system availability and performance for customer use.
- Troubleshooting issues as they arise and ensuring fixes are in place.
- Ongoing development of the current infrastructure with a high degree of autonomy in making decisions for the existing and new areas of our ecosystem
- Configuration, administration, installation and upgrading of cloud infrastructure, firewalls, databases, malware protection software, products, and services.
- Strong communication skills with modern cloud technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Essential Skills:- Experience working in an infrastructure environment, including cloud infrastructure
- Strong experience with monitoring tools
- An excellent understanding of Virutalisation, database and server technologies
- Has worked in a client-facing environment
- Experience working in a client-facing environment.
- Ability to produce detailed system documentation and guides for other teams.
- Solid understanding of fundamental server administration and networking technologies
